Titan LED Engine

The heart of the Titan LED engine is a revolutionary algorithm which generates an individual calibration for each light after measuring its photometrics during Astera’s manufacturing process.

This not only leads to accurate colors and total consistency between fixtures but also optimizes the output for high CRI and long battery runtime, no matter if displaying whites or highly saturated colors.

Temperature compensation during operation constantly measures the temperature of each LED chip and adjusts the intensity of the red, green, blue, mint and amber LEDs accordingly to maintain an even output.

FULL COLOR SPECTRUM

5 CHIP LED ENGINE CONTAINING RGB+MINT+Amber

Titan LED Engine contains 5 LED chips (red, green, blue, mint, amber) to deliver a broad color spectrum and wider color gamut.

WIDE RANGE OF WHITES

1,750 – 20,000K

White colors are mixed though an intelligent algorithm out of Red, Green, Blue, Mint and Amber LEDs. With this technology, beautiful white tones from 1,750K and 20,000K can be reproduced.

TLCI/CRI Ra ≥96

Excellent Color Rendering (From 3200K to 6500K)

The 5-chip LED Engine leads to excellent color rendering of 96-98 Ra no matter if you display 3200K, 6500K or anything in between. Color rendering beyond this range is also exceptionally high as the white tones are mixed out of 5 colored LED chips.

COLOR INPUT METHODS

RGB, HSI, X,Y & Filter Gels

Astera offers multiple ways to select colors from the AsteraApp, DMX sources and the light’s back panel. Colors can be selected through RGB or HSI values as well as x,y coordinates. In addition, filter gels from Lee and Rosco based on daylight and tungsten sources can be reproduced with great accuracy.

A table with DMX values for common colors is available to ensure that you can reach this precision from DMX consoles as well as the AsteraApp.

FLICKER-FREE

SCRAMBLED PWM TECHNOLOGY

With its scrambled PWM technology, lights with Titan LED Engine will not cause flickering when filming with standard frame rates. Recordings with high-speed cameras are possible but might not work under all conditions. Test before you shoot.

GREEN / MAGENTA CORRECTION

REDUCE POST-PRODUCTION WORK

To reduce post-production work, Titan LED Engine enables Green/Magenta correction from 0-100 in steps of 1%.
