Development engineer for electronics / embedded software development (m/w)

For our office in Munich/Germany.

We are a leading manufacturer of wireless even lights. Our products are well respected by professional users all over the world. They are special designed for rental- and production companies, who use them for events like company presentations, live concerts, weddings, film productions and many more.

Our battery-operated lights last up to 20h on one charge and their key to success is their control system.

The dual core microcontrollers in the lights provide exact color reproduction, rich light programs and a wireless link to our AsteraBox controller which interfaces them to the AsteraApp. Currently being available only for Android, we are in the process of developing an iOS version using the Xamarin framework.

Your Job:

  • You will develop/improve analog and digital circuits together with the firmware; the main focus lies in LED lights with high light quality and efficiency.
  • Participate in a project from the very idea until production.
  • You love to contribute to developments and are passionate to develop new concepts and solutions.

Your profile:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering
  • Very good in programming C / FreeRTOS under ARM CortexM
  • Circuit and PCB design with Altium/CircuitStudio
  • Simulations with Spice
  • Experience in taking measurements
  • The ability to think further
  • Work independently
  • English: business fluent
  • German: basic knowledge
  • Knowledge in Wireless/EMI/LEDs/Illumination and/or experience in event or film lighting would be a plus
